As THE PUNCH reports, major roads leading to the stadium had been barricaded, while groups of APC supporters began arriving as early as 7am.

Dressed in colourful outfits, the supporters were seen singing and dancing as they chanted slogans in Hausa and English, including “Asiwaju, Uba Sani for Second Term,” “Tinubu Again,” “Tinubu Our Father,” “Speaker Abbas for Tinubu” and “Tinubu Continuity.”

Many of the supporters wore T-shirts, caps and hijabs bearing pictures of President Tinubu, APC logos and images of their state governors, particularly those of Kano and Kaduna states.

The rally signals the start of the APC’s campaign for the 2027 presidential election, with 31 governors, party leaders and supporters expected to attend in large numbers to rally behind President Tinubu’s bid for a second term

Meanwhile, our correspondent, who arrived at the stadium around 10am, observed that the seating sections were filled with supporters awaiting the arrival of Tinubu, governors and other APC leaders.

The main bowl was also packed, leaving little room for movement, while the VIP section remained largely empty as party chieftains and dignitaries were yet to arrive.

The atmosphere is lively, with supporters dressed in colourful APC-branded shirts, caps and traditional outfits, waving party flags, singing and chanting slogans in support of Tinubu and their various candidates re-election bid.
