The Ondo State Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (ODCCPA) has urged residents to provide credible information to help combat fake and counterfeit products across the state.
The agency’s Executive Chairman, Oluyemi Fasipe, called on residents to report suspicious production facilities and illegal activities involving adulterated and substandard goods.
He urged the public to report the production and distribution of fake drinks, food items and other potentially dangerous products.
Fasipe assured residents that information provided would be treated with strict confidentiality, encouraging whistle-blowers to come forward without fear.
He said public cooperation was essential to protecting lives and safeguarding consumer interests.
“Timely information from residents will assist the agency in identifying offenders and preventing harmful products from reaching consumers,” he said.
Fasipe also urged community leaders, traders and other stakeholders to support the agency’s efforts by reporting suspected violations.
He encouraged residents to share information through social media platforms, community groups and other networks to raise public awareness.
Residents can report suspected cases through the agency’s hotline, 0904 335 3001, or email address, cpcondo149@gmail.com.
Fasipe reiterated the agency’s commitment to consumer protection, promoting fair business practices and ensuring the availability of safe, quality products in Ondo State.
