Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that star winger Raphinha will miss tomorrow’s La Liga clash against Getafe as well as the mid-week UEFA Champions League trip to face Galatasaray.

Despite recent fears over discomfort in his right leg, Flick clarified that the Brazilian hasn’t suffered a major injury, but the club is taking zero chances given his medical history.

What Hansi Flick Said

On the Injury Status:

“Raphinha does not have an injury… but we have to be careful because last year he had three injuries, as we need to take care of him.”

“He won’t be available tomorrow or against Galatasaray.”

Raphinha trained individually away from the main group ahead of the Getafe match.

Having dealt with recurrent right thigh problems last season, Flick is managing the vice-captain’s minutes carefully to prevent a long-term setback.

Gabriel Jesus is expected to step into the starting lineup alongside Lamine Yamal.
