The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has urged President Bola Tinubu to intensify efforts to secure the release of prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members recently abducted in Imo State.
The organisation’s Director of Strategic Communications, Richard Ihediwa, made the call in a statement issued in Abuja.
Ihediwa said the Federal Government had a responsibility to protect Nigerian youths, particularly those called up for national service.
He expressed concern over the continued captivity of the youths, saying families and other stakeholders were awaiting definitive updates on the incident.
He urged the authorities to deploy all necessary resources to secure the safe release of the abducted youths and other captives.
“We call on President Tinubu to act now; deal decisively with insecurity and bring back the abducted corps members and others languishing in the hands of their abductors,” Ihediwa said.
