Former Big Brother Naija housemate Cross Okonkwo has lamented after his car was vandalised by a street beggar in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos State.
Cross said he was driving along the road when a man approached his car and begged him for money.
He said after he ignored the man’s pleas, the beggar ripped off the windshield seal of his car and fled with it.
Cross got out of his car and chased the man but could not catch him.
The reality star filmed the damage to his car while lamenting the menace of street begging and thuggery in Lagos.
“In Nigeria, you’re not safe in your own country,” he said.
“This Lagos, I don’t understand why you guys are allowing thugs to be on the street mhen. This is unfair,” he added.
Cross appeared frustrated as he remained at the scene looking for the suspect, while other street boys gathered to help him find the man.
