Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos, has added 850 bed spaces and secured National Universities Commission (NUC) approval for three new programmes, bringing its fully accredited programmes to 22.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Pastor Samuel Olatunji, disclosed this on Thursday at the dedication of the university’s newly acquired six-storey annex.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Clement Kolawole said the newly approved programmes were Community Health, Public Health and Environmental Health.
He said the new accommodation would address a major challenge that previously limited the university’s capacity to admit students requiring residential facilities.
The six-storey facility includes student accommodation, laboratories, classrooms, a cafeteria and a library.
Kolawole said the university would continue to prioritise staff and student welfare and provide a conducive teaching and learning environment.
He added that parents could pay school fees in four instalments of 40 per cent, 20 per cent, 20 per cent and 20 per cent to ease financial pressure on families.
