Gabriel Jesus couldn’t hide his excitement after coming off the bench to make his official debut for Barcelona.
Following Barça’s 5-0 victory away at Valencia, the Brazilian forward opened up about how happy he is to be at the club and how well he fits into Hansi Flick’s playing style.
Speaking after taking his first steps in a Barça shirt, Jesus said:
”I love football and I love Barcelona. This is the way I love playing. It makes me very happy! We have a very great team full of quality and we play beautiful football.”
The summer signing came on in the 81st minute at Mestalla, capping off a dream week after joining on deadline day from Arsenal. He looks instantly at home in Barcelona’s high-tempo, attacking system as the club maintains its 100% winning record to stay clear top of La Liga.
