Micky van de Ven has officially signed a new long-term contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur, committing his future to North London.
The 25-year-old Dutch defender was considering his options earlier this year, but the arrival of manager Roberto De Zerbi convinced him to stay and lead the club’s new project.
Van de Ven helped Spurs win the 2025 Europa League and captained the side during the final stretch of last season.
Tottenham are backing their manager heavily, spending £237m this summer—including a record £100m signing of Sandro Tonali.
Player Quote: “I’ve always loved Spurs. It’s clear the direction the club wants to go in and I want to be a part of it.”
A massive boost for Tottenham’s defense as one of their most important players commits his best years to the club’s rebuild under De Zerbi.
