Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has announced Dec. 11 as the release date for her highly anticipated feature film, “The Four: No One Fights Alone”.
Akindele announced the project on Monday through her verified Instagram page.
According to her, the film was produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.
“The Four” is an emotionally charged drama exploring friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of ordinary women. It also highlights themes of courage, faith, sacrifice and loyalty while showcasing Nigeria’s cultural identity through music, fashion, language and tradition.
The film features an ensemble cast including Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola.
Others are Waje, Afrobeats artiste Shoday, Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.
Akindele’s previous productions include “Omo Ghetto: The Saga”, “Battle on Buka Street”, “A Tribe Called Judah” and “Everybody Loves Jenifa”.
Through her filmmaking, she has continued to contribute to Nigeria’s creative industry with commercially successful productions that promote Nigerian culture and entertain audiences.
