Premier League champions Arsenal have agreed a £75 million deal with Newcastle United for captain Bruno Guimaraes.
The 28-year-old Brazil midfielder, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium throughout the summer, is expected to undergo a medical later this week before completing the transfer. Personal terms have reportedly already been agreed.
Newcastle are understood to be satisfied with the deal, having signed Guimaraes from Lyon for £38 million in 2022.
The midfielder is set to become the third high-profile departure from Newcastle this summer, following the exits of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona and Sandro Tonali to Tottenham.
Guimaraes is awaiting permission to leave Newcastle’s training camp in La Manga, Spain, to complete the formalities of his move to Arsenal.
