Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to marry his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, this weekend.
The couple is expected to exchange vows on Aug. 8 in Funchal, the capital of Madeira, where Ronaldo spent his childhood.
Reports indicate that the wedding will take place at a cathedral in Funchal, while the reception is expected to be held at the Savoy Palace Hotel. Guests have reportedly been informed that parts of the hotel will be reserved for the private event.
The ceremony comes almost a year after Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced their engagement.
Earlier reports claiming the couple would marry in Sintra, Portugal, on Aug. 1 have since been dismissed.
