A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced three terrorists linked to the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State to life imprisonment.
Justice Salim Ibrahim handed down the sentence on Thursday after the defendants pleaded guilty to some counts in a 10-count terrorism charge filed by the Federal Government.
The convicts — Abdulrazak Umar (also known as Abu Khalifa/Abu Khalid), Yunusa Musa (also known as Yunusa bin Musa) and Shamsu Adamu Sani (also known as Abu Itisar) — pleaded guilty to counts four and six.
The court sentenced the three men to life imprisonment on count six and 25 years imprisonment on count four.
Umar, who also pleaded guilty to counts seven, eight, nine and 10, was sentenced to life imprisonment on counts seven, nine and 10, and
