Former Nollywood actress Belinda Effah has announced her engagement, sharing the news with fans through a series of posts on Facebook.
The actress, who now lives in the United States and is officially known as Grace-Charis Bassey Effah following a name change in 2021, shared photos of herself with her fiancé, whose face was concealed. She also showed off her engagement ring in the pictures.
In one of the posts, she simply wrote, “Answered prayers.”
In another, she expressed her joy, writing, “It feels like a dream, but when true love finds you, you melt.”
She added in a separate post, “Age is just a number. Found someone worth walking life with. Beyond blessed.”
The engagement comes months after the former actress responded to critics who urged her to get married before she would “expire.” At the time, she dismissed the comments, saying people knew nothing about her personal life and should stop projecting their insecurities onto others.
Effah left the Nigerian movie industry after relocating to the United States, where she joined the US Navy and became a US citizen in 2025.
