Former ADC chieftain emerges DLA chairman in Ondo

 former chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ondo State, Oluwatosin Ayeni, has emerged the state Chairman of  the newly registered Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA).
Ayeni was declared winner through consensus by the DLA Chairman of the Congress Committee in the state, Mr Oladimeji Oluwafisayo, during the party’s  congress on Thursday in Akure.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr  Jerry Babaleye also emerged as the state Legal Adviser of DLA.
Responding, Ayeni appreciated DLA members for the confidence and trust reposed in him to paddle the boat of the party in the state.
He called on Nigerians to join the party by registering on its website, and said DLA was a platform that could present able Nigerians as true leaders to take the country to the desired state.
Ayeni, a former State ADC Liaison Officer with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said the voice of the people would always count in the party through presentation of credible candidates in subsequent elections.
Also, the Secretary of the DLA Congress Committee, Mr Okechukwu Ibeh, described the emergence of Ayeni as divine, and said the party would develop rapidly under his leadership.
