Asake announces new album title ’

Culturally rooted Afrobeats superstar, Asake, is stepping out with a new album about a year after he parted ways with Olamide’s YBNL.
So far, he seems not to have disappointed himself in terms of visibility since he decided to move on.
The new album titled M$NEY has the potential to further help him assert his independence and his fans cannot wait to see it come on stream.
He has officially set May 1, 2026, as the release date for M$NEY, his fourth album.
The artiste shared the announcement via Instagram on Wednesday, April 22, through a visually compelling video featuring Iraqi-Dutch sculptor, Athar Jabar.
The promotional clip captures Jabar in a traditional art studio, using a hammer and chisel to hand-carve a portrait bust of Asake from a massive block of Italian Carrara marble.
Whilst using modern power tools for slow, deliberate manual labor, the video could serve as a metaphor for the craftsmanship Asake wants for his latest body of work.
The post’s caption, “M$NEY MAY 1 #MM,” confirms the arrival of the project following a series of successful 2025 and 2026 singles, including “Worship” with DJ Snake and “Badman Gangsta” featuring Tiakola.
By showing the process of making a stone statue of himself, the artist is most likely moving toward a more artistic style for his new music.
