‘Oyoyo’ singer,  J Martins, has accused of estranged duo, PSquare, of bringing shame to the Igbo race.

This is based on the twist in the twin brothers’ feud, as they are now said to celebrate their birthdays on separate dates.

Peter and Paul Okoye were born on November 18, 1981, and as P-Square, they became one of Africa’s most successful music duos before splitting in 2017.

The brothers reunited in 2021, but reports of renewed tension surfaced in 2024.

J Martins previously collaborated with P-Square and has maintained personal ties with both brothers throughout their careers.

In a post shared on social media on Tuesday, J Martins said he has been close to both artists for over two decades.

He stated that he could not understand why one twin would change his birthday after decades of sharing the same date with his brother.

J Martins addressed Peter, who performs as Mr. P, and Paul, known as Rudeboy, directly, urging the pair to handle the matter internally, stating that public disputes of this nature embarrass the Igbo community.

Martins wrote, “These are my brothers for more than two decades, I still don’t understand why one will just wake up decades to change his own birthday separate from his twin brother? @PeterPsquare @rudeboypsquare can we fix this stuff inside our house & not bring this shame on Ndi Igbo nke anyi”.
