Al eyes are in the direction of Kano politics as President Bola Tinubu on Monday met with Gov. Abba Yusuf at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting comes amid speculations of Yusuf’s possible defection from the New Nigeria People’s Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The possible move has charged the relationship between Yusuf and his mentor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is known to be interested in Presidency.
The visit marked the governor’s first known audience with President Tinubu since the President’s return from Abu Dhabi, where he attended the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
Details of the closed-door meeting were not disclosed to State House correspondents.
It is, however, believed to be linked to ongoing consultations on political realignments.
