The Rivers Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Moses Oleghe, has lauded the Eleme Local Government Council for renovating a lodge for corps members serving in the area.
He made the commendation during an inspection of the facility, called the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Lodge.
Oleghe, represented by the Eleme Local Government Corps Inspector, Mrs Onyinye Ihemawuluotu, thanked the council Chairman, Mr Ollormate Ollor, “for his intentional commitment and passionate interest in the welfare of corps members”.
He lauded the chairmant specifically for the procurement of 15 brand new mattresses for the corps members.
He appealed to Ollor to expedite work on the central corps lodge to meet the accommodation needs of corps members serving in the area.
Responding, the chairman pledged to complete the lodge, which is undergoing construction, provide a standby generator, and additional 25 mattresses for the corps members.
He further promised to mobilise local vigilante for round-the-clock security at the lodge.
He also appealed to the Eleme Divisional Police Officer to provide adequate surveillance around the lodge.
He gave assurance that his administration would continue to prioritise the corps members welfare and security.
