At a time the fortune of many public institutions are dwindling, Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) has been ranked 25th among Nigerian universities in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking.
The ranking is a significant jump from its previous ranking of 128th and it is generating excitement in the school.
The meteoric rise, one of the fastest in the nation’s academic history, also saw ADUN’s global ranking improve dramatically from 11,902, underscoring its growing impact in research, teaching, and innovation.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Ogbogbo, hailed the achievement as proof of the university’s unstoppable momentum.
Ogbogbo said the ranking validates ADUN’s commitment to quality education, research relevance, and strong community engagement.
“ADUN is making giant strides through the collective drive of its founders, management, staff, and students all united by a global vision of excellence.
“We are not just celebrating a ranking; we are celebrating resilience, focus, and the realisation of a dream to position ADUN among Africa’s best,” he said.
The vice-chancellor reaffirmed the university’s resolve to sustain its momentum through cutting-edge research, strategic partnerships, and technology-driven learning.
“This milestone is only the beginning — our sights are set on the global stage,” he said.
ADUN has rapidly evolved into one of Nigeria’s most dynamic private universities, blending academic rigour with discipline and innovation.
