President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), on her birthday.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised her contributions to Nigeria’s global image and diaspora engagement.
He described her as a dedicated public servant, who began her career in broadcasting with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), and later served three terms in the House of Representatives.
Dabiri-Erewa chaired both the House Committee on Media and Publicity and the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, where she led key national conversations.
The President commended her lifelong dedication to public service, noting her commitment to uplifting the underprivileged and promoting national unity.
Tinubu highlighted her impact as a journalist, legislator, and NIDCOM chief, citing her tireless pursuit of social justice for Nigerians at home and abroad.
He praised her efforts in mobilising diaspora talent to support national growth, especially in education, healthcare, and sports.
The President said her numerous awards and recognitions were a testament to her excellence, vision, and patriotism.
