President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), on her birthday.

‎In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised her contributions to Nigeria’s global image and diaspora engagement.

‎He described her as a dedicated public servant, who began her career in broadcasting with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), and later served three terms in the House of Representatives.

‎Dabiri-Erewa chaired both the House Committee on Media and Publicity and the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, where she led key national conversations.

‎The President commended her lifelong dedication to public service, noting her commitment to uplifting the underprivileged and promoting national unity.

‎Tinubu highlighted her impact as a journalist, legislator, and NIDCOM chief, citing her tireless pursuit of social justice for Nigerians at home and abroad.

‎He praised her efforts in mobilising diaspora talent to support national growth, especially in education, healthcare, and sports.

‎The President said her numerous awards and recognitions were a testament to her excellence, vision, and patriotism.
