Emir of Ilorin offers condolences to Kogi governor

The Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has offered his condolences to Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo following the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo.

In a message issued on tuesday by his spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir, who is also the chairman of the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, described Alhaji Ododo’s death as a painful experience. He stressed that a father’s role in the lives of children cannot be underestimated.

The gesture signifies the solidarity among traditional and political leaders in the country during times of grief.

He noted that the death was a monumental loss to the people of Kogi and humanity in general.

“I urge Governor Ododo and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their late father lived a worthy and exemplary life,” he said.

The Emir added that the late Alhaji Ododo left behind enduring legacies of integrity, honesty, and devotion to the service of Almighty Allah.

He extended condolences on behalf of the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, and the government and people of Kogi  over the unfortunate loss.

Sulu-Gambari prayed Almighty Allah to accept his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him eternal rest in Al-Janat ul-Firdaus.
