Divine Ogbonnaya, the newly appointed general manager of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), has pledged to implement professional initiatives to reverse the recent relegation of the state’s football teams. speaking at a meeting with staff in Akure on monday, Ogbonnaya affirmed his commitment to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s vision of restoring the agency’s lost glory.
In a period marked by the relegation of both Sunshine Stars from the national premier league and Sunshine Queens from the women’s top flight, the new general manager outlined a strategy centered on proactiveness, professionalism, and inclusivity. his goal is to enhance results and lead the teams back to the elite leagues.
Ogbonnaya praised Governor Aiyedatiwa as an exceptional administrator and assured the staff of his dedication to football development in the state, signaling a new, professionally driven era for ondo state football.
“We are more than ready to make him proud. With God and your support, we shall achieve together,” he said
Ogbonnaya urged staff members to be diligent, professional and dutiful and shun any form that will portray them as being subversive while discharging their duties.
He said the newly appointed committee members are individuals who are willing to achieve with a promise to give priority to players and staff welfare.
