The Nasarawa State House of Assembly is reinforcing its commitment to public health, with the speaker, Dr. Danladi Jatau, assuring residents that the legislature will continue to enact robust health laws. jatau gave the assurance on friday in Lafia, during a meeting with officials from the state’s Association of Resident Doctors.
The speaker pledged to establish effective synergy and provide support to address the health challenges faced by residents. he commended the association for its dedication and hard work in improving the state’s health status. jatau also took the opportunity to appreciate Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his administration’s prioritisation of the health sector and other key areas of development.
This collaborative approach between the legislative body, medical professionals, and the executive arm of government underscores a united front in enhancing healthcare services and ensuring the well-being of all citizens in Nasarawa State.
The speaker called for continued support for him and the administration of Gov. Sule to succeed.
He donated N500,000 for the development of the association.
Earlier, Dr Jude Isha-Yekpowudu, the association’s president, said the visit was to identify with the speaker and appreciate his laudable leadership.
“We want to appreciate you for uniting members and for your purposeful leadership.”
The president solicited the financial support of the speaker to enable the association to conduct medical outreach.
