Acclaimed filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, has earned more honour as he has been awarded Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year at the International Tourism Investment Summit in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The summit, themed #ITSOyoState2025, held from July 22-24, 2025.
The award, presented at the Governor’s Dinner and Tourism Awards Night, honours Afolayan’s outstanding contribution to the tourism industry through his KAP Film Village & Resort in Igbojaye, Oyo State.
The KAP Film Village & Resort has become a leading attraction for both tourists and creatives, blending nature, film, and hospitality to create a space rooted in African identity.
As the founder of this innovative destination, Afolayan has built an ecosystem that brings storytelling, heritage, and tourism together, promoting African stories and culture.
