Traditional ruler urges new council heads to lead with fear of God

The Aren Eggon, Retired Justice Ubangari Alaku, has urged the newly appointed administrators of Akun and Agidi Area Administrative Councils to govern with the fear of God and a commitment to peace.

He gave the advice on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by the new administrators, Dr Garba Adigizi and Mr Agu Envulunza, to his palace in Nasarawa Eggon.

Alaku stressed that peace is essential for development and encouraged the leaders to prioritize integrity and accountability in their work. He congratulated both men on their appointments and urged them to uphold the public trust placed in them.

“I am happy over your appointments and for creating time to visit this palce; as your father, you have my blessings.
“I want to advise you to lead our people with the fear of God and in the interest of unity, peace, progress and the overall development of our communities.
“I also want to assure you of my prayers and support at all times,” he assured.
Alaku also urged them to operate an all-inclusive system and discharge their duties without discrimination.
He fuether promised to support them towards promoting peace and unity in their respective councils.
Speaking, Adigizi, the administrator of Akun, said the visit was to seek the royal blessings and support of the traditional ruler in order to succeed in their assignments.
The New Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports  Gov. Abdullahi Sule had on Monday, sworn-in administrators for the 18 area administrative councils of the State.
