Nollywood actress, Actress Laide Bakare, has sought to clarify a statement that many have interpreted to be a troll on her colleague, Biola Bayo, over the latter’s failed marriage.
Bakare has said everyone would eat the metaphoric breakfast, which was interpreted to be mocking Biola.
But she has denied shading her, saying she had not even learnt that Biola was divorced.
Laide had shared the cryptic post that some linked to Biola’s situation but she clarified that she was unaware of the news as she was busy celebrating her daughter’s graduation.
“All of us will eat breakfast. Asiko lo ma ya to. Good morning, people,” she wrote earlier.
Laide expressed support for Biola, referring to her as “sister,” and criticised trolls for being malicious.
“Let us all be guarded, please. It’s still June 5th here in America—California, to be precise. I can never shade my own sister @biolabayo. My prayers are with you. I didn’t get any updates. I was busy with @simlineboss’ graduation. Trolls are evil,” she wrote.
