There is a twist in the reported arrest of controversial social critic, VeryDarkMan, as his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, says he is now in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was said to have been arrested in Abuja on the premises of a bank.
Adeyanju took to his X handle after initially alleging VDM had been arrested by the police and said: “VDM DETAINED AT EFCC: Our lawyers led by the Head of our firm @Marvin_Omorogbe just met VDM’s friend who was arrested together with him in EFCC custody. VDM refused to come out of the cell; that he won’t see anyone.”
