Highly inspirational singer, Timi Dakolo, has recalled the prdeals he went through while wooing his wife Busola.
According to him, she did not give him her heart as early as he wanted, with the loss of her phone around the time they met compounding his woes.
He tells ‘Pulse’ in an interview:
“I met my wife in the church. I went to her and asked her to be my date for a ball. She gave me her number but wasn’t picking up the phone when I called. I kept going to the area hoping to see her again. Then I saw her one day and I asked her why was she not picking up my calls and she said her phone got stolen.
“I sympathised with her and we became friends. I started developing feelings for her and she wanted to friend-zone me but I refused. I suffered to win her love. I was taking her to work to and fro. At one time, she used to be embarrassed whenever I picked her up with the branded Picanto I won from Nigerian Idols. I said, ‘Okay, don’t worry. I will shock you. Don’t look down on me.’ And I did”.
