The Nigerian entertainment/gospel industry has been plunged into mourning mood again as another promising star, Aduke Gold, is reportedly dead.

This happened some four months after another popular gospel artiste, Morenike Adeleke, aka Egbin Orun, passed away.

Gold’s family have yet to officially announce her transition, but her fellow gospel singer, Esther Igbekele, broke the sad news in an Instagram post.

Other former colleagues, including Yomi Adebote (Apase Emi), have expressed grief over the development.

“Oh my God! What is happening? Aduke Gold, why?” Apase Emi laments in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

Controversial blogger, Yinka TNT, has also mourned the singer of ‘Nitori Ogo’.

The Lagos State University graduate of History and International Relations graduate discovered and nurtured her talent amid hardship, as she narrated at different fora.

Her education was sponsored via a scholarship by Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, the then Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Lagos State.

Aduke also held a higher degree in Child Psychology, a Diploma in Montessori Education from the UK, and numerous other qualifications in Special Education, Aquaculture, Cake Making, Cookery and Decoration, Music Rudiment, Business, and Piano.

Her passion extended beyond music, with a particular focus on working with children with special needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia.
