Although a Yoruba proverb says it is a child that has not visited another man’s farm that boasts their father’s is the largest, Fatima, daughter of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has said that she has never seen any other person as hardworking as him.
Another Yoruba proverb says ‘eni ti koko re ye lo mo o lo’ (the best farmer is the one whose cocoa plantation receives the blessing of the soil), Dangote is known to be an indefatigable and prolific businessman.
He s also known to be courageous at it, straddling different sectors.
Fatima said Nigeria would be a better place if there were a few more men like her father, Aliko Dangote.
She spoke at a media session hosted at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, hailing him for the steadfast pursuit of the Nigerian dream.
She expressed admiration for his resilience and echoed a wish for more visionary leaders like him in the country, believing their collective efforts could significantly enhance Nigeria’s future.
She said: “I have not seen anyone as hardworking as my father, sometimes I wonder how he never gives u. I wish we have a few more men like my father in Nigeria, the country will be a better place.”
