At a time many might have forgotten that a celebrity of Bobrisky’s height is in a correctional centre, his younger colleague, James Brown, paid him a solidarity visit.
As if fulfilling the message in the Yoruba proverb, ‘Ìgbà ìpọ́njú làá mọ̀rẹ́’, he went there with a team apparently to boost the spirit of the incarcerated.
Ìgbà ìpọ́njú làá mọ̀rẹ́ means you know the true friend in time of trouble, which is not too distant from oyinbo people’s saying a friend in need is a friend indeed.
The younger crossdresser, who, incidentally, once had a battle with Bobrisky, shared pictures of him and the team meeting the prison officials, during their mission at Kirikiri, Lagos.
The crossdresser called ‘The Princess of Africa’ also stirred reactions as he turned up in a man’s outfit at the prison.
Sharing pictures from his visit, James Brown wrote: “I went to KIRIKIRI PRISON to visit BOBRISKY to know if she alright.”
