Canada-based scholar and writer, Nduka Otiono, has revealed Narrative Landscape Press as the Nigerian publisher of a poetry anthology in honour of renowned scholar, Pius Adesanmi.
Otiono noted that work had got to an advanced stage, adding that Daraja Press, which is the American publisher, had started promoting it.
Otiono, author of ;The Night Hides with a Knife’, said in an online statement, “So excited, our North American publisher, Daraja Press, has started promoting this edition of the anthology and taking advance orders…only for the region covered by this Publisher. Narrative Landscape Press, Nigeria, is publishing the African region edition of the anthology and handling distribution on the continent…
“The beautiful cover designs for both editions of the book are by the poet and artist, Victor Ehikamenor.
“NB: All those who submitted to the anthology will be receiving formal notification about the status of their submission in the next few days. So please be patient and do not send enquiry mails yet.

Amid tributes that poured on Adesanmi after his death in an Ethiopian Airline crash last October, the PEN International, Nigerian Centre had also announced its dedication of a special Poetry Festival to his memory.
Stakeholders also staged farewell programmes for him in Ibadan and Abuja, while another one tagged ‘An Evening of Reminiscences’ held at the Quida House, Isaac John Street, Ikeja, Lagos.
Adesanmi, author of ‘Naija No Dey Carry Las’t (2015), a volume of satirical essays, died in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash few minutes after take-off in Addis Ababa.
Speaking on the poetry festival at the Michael Otedola Colege of Education, Epe, Lagos, President of PEN Nigeria Folu Agoi, had said the programme with the theme, “What Poetry Is, What Poetry Is Not”, was part of its activities marking the 2019 World Poetry Day on Thursday, March 21.
