The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) on Sunday tasked women to empower one another and mend all broken bridges to build a society where women can thrive.
The National President of NCWS, Hajiya Lami Adamu-Lau, made the call in a statement in Abuja as part of her Christmas message.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us remember the message of love, compassion and hope that lies at its core.
“Let this message fill our hearts and empower us to reach out to one another, to mend broken bridges, and to build a society where every woman can thrive,” she said.
She also encouraged women to carry the torch of optimism and unwavering resolve to remove all barriers hindering women from exercise their potentials in all areas, especially in 2024.
She said: “And, as we step into the dawn of the New Year, let us carry the torch of optimism and unwavering resolve.
“Let us commit to a year of action, a year of breaking down barriers, and a year of forging a future where the potential of every Nigerian woman is celebrated, nurtured and unleashed.”
While wishing Christian faithful a merry Christmas celebration, the president, therefore, reiterated their commitment towards supporting women make impactful changes beneficial to the nation.
