“We just want our youths and children to go to school. Although, the primary aim of believers is to bring others into the light and knowledge of Christ, however education is important to really magnify that space.
“We have partners who are dedicated to helping with the needs of some students that we have adopted. Our members have “adopted” one or more students making provisions for their school fees, books and upkeep.
“Our funding is especially through partnerships. Some partners donate monthly and others donate selflessly, as inspired by God.
A Christian Organisation, the Gbenga Samuel-Wemimo Ministries International (GSWMI) on Friday said that it had met the welfare needs of over 5,000 less-privileged persons since it started operations in 2020.
The Head of the ministry, Pastor Gbenga Samuel-Wemimo, who made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, said that this was as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
He told NAN that the ministry started its CSR activities on April 12, 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown with the mission to spread the love of Christ by meeting people’s welfare needs.
According to him, since inception in 2020, the GSWMI-CSR has spread throughout Canada, the U.S., United Kingdom, France, Ghana, Dubai, and multiple locations in Nigeria.
The GSWMI boss said that the vision of the organisation was to bring the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and all its benefits to every believer and the world at large.
He said that it had spent millions of Naira to achieve this objectives.
“We have put in efforts to provide medical and educational aid among others to the less-privileged.
“We deliberately look for communities where there are a lot of poor and needy people, they are the ones we feel will really benefit the most from our CSR activities.
“Our hospital ministry ministers to the needs of the sick and needy, both physically and spiritually.
“We pray for the sick to heal them and also help to clear their medical bills to avoid them being detained in the hospital or suffering from depression because of non-payment of their bills.
“We also have the scholarship scheme that caters for the school fees of indigent pupils and students from primary school to the University.
“Currently, we have students in Ghana, Nigeria and other countries benefiting from this scheme.
“We undertake our CSR and welfare activities monthly in multiple locations.
“We also have a ministry to indigent widows in which we pay them a stipend monthly. We aid such widows, who are willing to set up businesses, with lump sums as capital,” Samuel-Wemimo told NAN.“Tonesses, with lump sums as capital,” Samuel-Wemimo told NAN.“To apply for our scholarships, students should simply send an application to us, we will assess its veracity and decide to award it or not,” Folarin said.
