The Epe Local Government Council has donated educational materials and furniture to some public schools in Epe.
Ms Surah Animashaun, Chairman of the council disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Epe on Monday.
She listed the beneficiaries of the educational materials and furniture to include; Epe Grammar School, Army Children Primary School and Riverine Public Primary school all in the area.
According to her, the students of Epe grammar school were presented with 50 bunk beds, with more being expected, while blackboards in the Army children school were replaced with standard white marker boards.
She said the Council also donated academic materials including math-sets and textbooks to Upland and Riverine public primary schools in the area.
Animashaun assured that the council would do more in improving the academic standard of the pupils through provision of modern teaching and learning materials.
