The political identity of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has become cloudier as he has been appointed as a member of All Progressives Congress Campaign Council for Bayelsa State governorship election.
Wike is still a card-carrying member of the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, where he is, however, in battle with the top shots that include its flagbearer in the February presidential election, Atiku Abubakar.
Meanwhile,m the council is chaired by the Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya. The Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, will serve as co-chairmen.
The new ppointment is due to keep political watchers in suspense.
