Lasun Alagbe
Seasoned actor, Charles Inojie, has said that he wholeheartedly accepts his loss in this year’s African Movie Viewers Choice Award.
He lost to Broda Shaggi in the Best Actor in Comedy category.
Reflecting on the loss, Inojie notes in a post:
AMVCA 2023… I CAN NOT THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH
We did not win, not because we weren’t deserving of the prize.
We did not win, not because we didn’t have people enough to power us to victory with their votes.
We did not win because in a contest of this fashion, only one winner can be at a time.
We did not win because tomorrow is another day, and in tomorrow, lies hope for greater exploits… why not? The prize could yet be ours.
Thank you, fam, and trust me when I say I do not take your love for granted.
