UI VC commends  cordial  relationship  between management and students

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Oyebode Adebowale mni,  FAS has commended the cordial relationship that exists  between the management and the Students’ Union of the University of Ibadan whereby each party plays its roles with mutual respect and understanding and not confrontation.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor  Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola, who spoke on behalf of the VC, gave the commendation when he received the  University of Ibadan Students’ Union Executive Committee members led by the President, Mr. Adeyinka Adewole, in his office.
Professor Ayoola commended the students’ sense of appreciation and the efforts being made to support the University Management in the provision of welfare packages for the student body.
He encouraged the Student Union Executive Committee to look beyond the University for support for  its  laudable and approved projects as the University may be unable to meet  all the students’ requests.
 The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, however, assured  that the University would not relent in supporting the efforts of the Students’ Union within the limits of available resources.
The President of the Students ‘ Union, Mr Adeyinka Adewole, had expressed  appreciation to the management for the various supports received.
These,  he listed as improved security on campus, enhanced students welfare, improved transport system through the increase in the number of tricycles in operation as well as the  reconstruction of the bridge linking Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Agriculture.
He informed the DVC of the Bursary award of Twenty Thousand
 (#20,000.00), each  given to 50 students.
Mr Adewole  also informed the VC of the successful completion and release of the maiden edition of the magazine “UISU Magazine”, copies of which were presented to the DVC and all in attendance.
