The Department of Architecture, University of Ibadan, and its counterpart at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne are hoping to work out a full fledged collaboration.
The agreement was reached over the weekend when a researcher, Harry Thompson, from the Department of Architecture, University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, came on an exploratory research visit to Lagos and Ibadan.
According to Dr. T. O. Odeyale of the UI Department of Architecture, Thompson is scheduled to use some courses involving the History of Western Architecture and its particular application to the Nigerian culture in his research works.
Dr Thompson and his entourage will be going back to England this weekend.
