Police in Lagos have confirmed attacks on some banks in the state.

This happened on Ikorodu road and Epe, with the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirming the attacks that occurred in Epe.

He said, “Three banks were attacked in Epe but our men are already on the ground,”

On Friday morning, fighting erupted in some areas on the popular Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway in Lagos State over the scarcity of the new naira notes and the hardship the policy had thrown at Nigerians.

It was gathered that suspected louts in Mile 12, Ketu and Ojota areas on the expressway took to the streets attacking commuters and creating chaos.

Also, it was reported that pockets of protests had broken out in Agege, Iyana-Ipaja and Igando areas of the state over the naira crisis.
