As comedienne Princess feels triumphant at the conviction of comedian Baba Ijesha, she has recalled he ordeals she suffered while pursuing the defilement case against him.

Justice Taiwo Oluwatoyin sentenced the actor with the real name to 16 years imprisonment on Thursday, to be served concurrently in five years.

He was found guilty of defiling the foster daughter of the comedienne whose real name is Damilola Adekoya.

Commending on the sentencing in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Princess said a rather lethal pressure was filed on her by interested parties.

She said, “They put a bounty on my head. They wanted to kill me. Some people that I respected so much, I found out that they were the ones pushing him (Baba Ijesha).”

The case caused a sharp division among entertainment practitioners, with some backing Princess while others supported Baba Ijesha.

Particularly, actress Iyabo Ojo, who is with Princess on the matter, battled actor Yomi Fabiyi, who has been fighting Baba Ijesha’s cause.
