Francis Johnson,President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria [PENGASSAN] has been confirmed dead.
According to The Punch, Johnson died in the early hours of Friday.
He became President of the union in 2014, was said to have passed on after an ailment.
Okugbawa Lumumba, General Secretary of PENGASSAN confirmed the news on the telephone.
Lumumba said members of the union were on their way to pay a condolence visit to the family, adding that a statement would be issued later.
