Veteran musician, Friday Igwe, popularly known as ” Baba Fryo”, on Friday called on religious leaders across the nation to intensify prayers for a seamless electoral process in 2023.
Igwe made the call while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
He said it was high time religious leaders jettisoned their denominational differences and come together to unanimously pray for the success of the forthcoming elections.
According to him, this is important to ensure free, fair, credible and peaceful elections.
“Religious leaders across the nation, regardless of their denomination need to come together and pray for the success of the forthcoming 2023 elections.

“This is important because the peace of the nation must be put on the front burner.
“As a nation, we do not need to kill or hurt one another, we should pray that God picks the right leaders for us all,” he said.
Igwe also advised the youths to conduct themselves responsibly and avoid being used as political thugs in the forthcoming election.
