An All Progressives Congress (APC) support group, Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability (PRIFGLA), has enjoined Christians in the country to show love toward one another.

The group gave the advice in an Easter message by its founder, Pastor Reuben Wilson, issued on Saturday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.

It advised Christians to reflect on the love and sacrifice which Jesus exemplified to mankind, as they celebrate His death and resurrection.

Wilson further advised Christian faithful to demonstrate same to citizens of the country, irrespective of tongue, tribe or political affiliation.

The cleric, also known as the ‘Peoples’ General’, admonished Christians to also pray for the country and their respective states as well as continue to remain patriotic.

According to him, irrespective of the many challenges facing the country there is still hope and imminent victory which can only be achieved through unity and patriotism.

He urged citizen to do away with forms of vices that were not in the interest of the nation, particularly acts of terror, kidnapping and others.

Wilson then advised governments across all levels in the country to render good leadership to the citizens and avoid acts that could inflict pains or injury on the masses.

He also criticised the crisis rocking the APC in Bayelsa which had degenerated to violent conducts in the public.

According to him, there is the need for stakeholders to embrace peace and shun any acts that will further divide the party.

“The crisis rocking the APC in Bayelsa, it is the followers that are suffering it.

“APC supporters in Bayelsa are like slaves, because their leaders are fighting.

“The supporters love their leaders and it is only when they unite and work together that the followers can smile and achieve.

“The followers believe in their leaders because they know their capacity; let them embrace peace and work together as brothers so that their supporters can be happy,” Wilson advised.

He reminded the stakeholders that there was no permanent friend nor enemy in politics and that people should be cautious about their actions to avoid inflicting pains on anyone in the name of politics.
