Mr Noah Oluyori of Anointing of Christ Church, Ilorin, has called on Nigerians to rise and intercede for the nation through prayers.

Oluyori made the appeal in Ilorin on Thursday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to him, Nigeria is passing through a critical period in its life and needed special prayers of the citizenry to overcome its socio-economic and security challenges.

“I want to make a passionate appeal to Nigerians to offer prayers for peace, unity and development of our great country.

“Be you Christian or Muslim, it is our duty to offer prayer for those at the helm of affairs and the governed for God’s guidance and abundant blessing to take the country to an enviable height.

“We cannot continue to complain without calling on our God. Let us pray for Nigeria and seek God’s intervention on our darling country,” he said.

The cleric however urged the citizens to play their role with sincerity and honesty to attract God’s favour and everlasting life.

“We should give our best to support our homes and the country in general to ensure that the desired unity and development are achieved,” he said.
