There are indications that the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, is on her way back to the palace.
Naomi, a few days ago, declared that the marriage was over, saying she could no cope with the king’s disposition.
The online declaration had sparked a lot of controversy especially as the monarch had lost one or two marriages before.
Many also queried Naomi’s gut to take the matter online while there have also been ‘revelations’ about alleged excesses of some of her relatives.
But a report surfacing online on Wednesday evening says elders from both families have met in Akure, Ondo State, to which she relocated.
One of the stakeholders, Prince Eniola Olajuni, noted in a Facebook post that Naomi’s mother had also asked for forgiveness, although details of that were not given.
Olajuni wrote: Battle is over. Ooni of Ife and Queen Naomi Ogunwusi settle as Akure and Ile-Ife elders meet the family this evening.
