The Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, Bishop of Abuja Diocese and Primate of All Nigeria Anglican Communion, has urged Christians to remain steadfast in all situations, promote peace and be law abiding.
The primate gave the advice on Saturday in Abuja during the Church’s 2021 Carnival for Christ, with the theme, “A very present help”.
According to him, prayers and steadfastness were necessary for God to intercede in all situations including the challenges facing the country.
“God who created us will not forsake us, as He alone would bring solutions and desired needs when the time comes,” the cleric added.
On the carnival, Ndukuba said it was organised to appreciate and praise God for His mercy during the year, and pray for a peaceful and prosperous 2022.
He said whatever people were going through economically, socially and religiously would be overcomed through belief in God’s absolute powers.
In his sermon, Rev. Timothy Yahaya of Kaduna Diocese, stressed that a true believer could only be recognised in times of trials and tribulations.
“With God all things are possible and all impossiblities could be reverted if we pray and believe”, he said.
The bishop urged Nigerians to shun all vices, commit themselves to God and pray for leaders at all levels to succeed in steering the country to a better future.
