Roaringly reigning artiste, Wizkid, has confirmed his superiority as he has bagged the award for the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Among those he beat to grab the creast is Tems, who can be described as his mentee.
Also in contest were Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae and Focalistic.
The organisers announced the win on their Instagram handle, @mtvbaseafrica, wrote, “HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world #MTVEMA #StarBoyHQ.”
Also, the singer took to his verified Instagram story to repost a video snippet of this announcement as the winner of the category.
