The National Under-20 football coach, Ladan Bosso, has advised young and aspiring footballers not to be deterred by the challenges they face at the early stage of their careers.

Bosso stated this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Akure after watching over 10 teams slug it out with each other during the two-day football clinic.

Bosso said it is important for young players to keep fighting and working hard because they would not know who is monitoring their progress.

He also commended Ondo State Football Association for organising a two-day football clinic for young footballers in the state to showcase their talents.

“I have always told players that no small problem should deter them or draw them down.

“From training session, you can find yourself in Europe. Be focused and be determined at any giving time,” he said.

Bosso said that he was impressed with what he witnessed in the couple of matches played during the clinic,

He said it is important for him as a coach to one of the age grade teams of the country to attend such clinics to speak with young and aspiring football talents and advise them on how to develop.

“Ondo state is used to developing and discovering talents and that’s why we are here to assist the coaches association and the Football Association,” he said.

Bosso urged players to avoid the use of drugs, saying drugs have destroyed careers of many young and promising talents.

The Acting Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association, Barr. Aderemi Adetula, told NAN that the programme is the first of its kind and added that it could made an annual event.
