Although there is widespread despair in the land, seasoned actress, Kate Henshaw, has shared a note of hope as Nigeria celebrates her 61st Independence.
In a post on her Instagram page, Henshaw said she would not give up on herself and the nation.
She opined that Nigeria had brilliant minds, hardworking and honest people contributing daily to the betterment of themselves, the community, and the nation.
In these, she said resided the hope of renewal.
She wrote:
“I refuse to give up on myself and my nation, Nigeria. We have brilliant minds, hardworking and honest Nigerians who contribute daily to self, community and the Nation as a whole.
Hope maketh not ashamed….We are living in tough times and a lot of questions come to the fore on our choice of leaders and the impact of the office of citizen….”
